With Air Canada set to increase seat capacity to the island by 66% with additional service on Fridays, St. Kitts is poised to increase stayover visitation for fall and winter 2023-2024

The island of St. Kitts is looking forward to a busy fall and winter season following a hugely successful ‘Summer of Fun.’

With Air Canada set to increase seat capacity to the island by 66% with additional service on Fridays, St. Kitts is poised to increase stayover visitation for fall and winter 2023-2024. The destination will also see the return of American Airlines, Delta and British Airways, plus a new route launch by JetBlue from New York.

Visitors to the island from December 15, 2023 to January 2, 2024 have the chance to immerse themselves in the cultural richness of the St. Kitts-Nevis National Carnival. This vibrant celebration spans over two years with signature events, including J’ouvert, concerts, folklore performances and street parades on New Year’s Day.

With increased airlift and high-profile events, St. Kitts is hoping to build on the momentum of the summer, which welcomed such must-see events as the annual St. Kitts Music Festival, Restaurant Week, Culturama and the Caribbean Premier League.

The newly launched ‘Summer of Fun’ campaign is being called a major success, with marketing efforts designed to catapult St. Kitts from a seasonal getaway to a year-round tourist destination.

In June, the island celebrated its 25th edition of the St. Kitts Music Festival, a three-day concert featuring world-renowned artists in various genres, including Burna Boy, Air Supply, Chronixx, Koffee and more. Flights and hotels during the festival were fully booked.

July focused on the twin island Federation’s gastronomic delights as both locals and visitors relished in the Nevis Mango Festival and St. Kitts-Nevis Restaurant Week. Foodies were able to sample specially curated and discounted menus that highlighted this year’s key ingredient: the pineapple. Closing out the week was St. Kitts’ Grillfest, a competition that showcased the island’s finest chefs, all of whom competed for the esteemed title of best grilled poultry, pork and seafood.

In August, Kittitian and Nevisian culture came to life during Culturama, Nevis’ Carnival held during the first week of the month. This spirited event showcased a range of prime calendar events including pageants, calypso and street parades.

The ‘Summer of Fun’ campaign concluded with the Caribbean Premier League, during which locals rallied behind the St. Kitts-Nevis Patriots during a series of friendly T-20 cricket matches against other regional teams.
