G Adventures has welcomed two new members to its sales and marketing teams, bringing its cross-Canada sales support back to full strength. 

Ana Santa Maria has been appointed to the role of global purpose specialist (GPS) for Alberta and the Prairies. She previously worked for G Adventures in a similar role from 2019 to 2020, and returns after a three-year hiatus. She joins Nuppy Mistry (GPS for Ontario), Hilary Arsenault (GPS for Quebec and the Maritimes), and Jenna English (GPS for British Columbia and the Northern Territories).

Sara Murphy is now regional marketing manager for Canada and will be working on brand marketing and tourist board opportunities. Murphy worked in advertising before joining G Adventures.

Erin Rogers, national sales manager for G Adventures, says both appointments come at an exciting time for the business, as travel from Canada shifts beyond pre-pandemic booking numbers.

“Travel is back like never before,” said Rogers. “Having Ana join us to boost our national sales team means we can now better service our agency partners from coast to coast. Sara is going to be a great support to our team as well, working directly with [managing director] David Green to help lead tourism board partnerships and boost our brand awareness in Canada.”

On what she loves most about her new role, Santa Maria said: “I love connecting with agents from Alberta and the Prairies. I am able to have a direct impact on travel agents’ businesses and lives. As a former travel agent myself, I take a lot of pride in the impact I can have on their lives.”

Murphy said the best thing about working for G Adventures is the people. “Everyone at G Adventures brings a new perspective, but we all share the same core values and mission,” she said.

Both passionate about travel, Santa Maria said her next trip will be to Everest Base Camp with G Adventures this November while Murphy has her eye on a safari.
