New routes aim to boost travel options during peak winter season

Canadian airline Westjet has announced new direct routes, two of which are into Tulum International. The airline says their new direct Calgary and Toronto flights will begin November 9 and run until April.

Westjet will offer the non-stop flights once a week from Calgary and three times a week from Toronto for the five-month period.

The WestJet Group announced further network expansion with the addition of new service to Tulum, Mexico, bolstering the Group’s extensive leisure portfolio this winter.

The airline’s new flights for the 2024/2025 travel season also include Grenada and Fort Lauderdale, FL., from Vancouver and Winnipeg and new routes to Mexico Pacific from Kelowna and Winnipeg.

The introduction of service to Tulum’s newly opened international airport from Calgary and Toronto further solidifies WestJet’s position as Canada’s top choice for Riviera Maya travel.

In addition to the strongest schedule, WestJet Vacations will offer packages to 35 major hotels in close proximity to the Aeropuerto Internacional de Tulum Felipe Carillo (TQO), they reported.

The Calgary-Tulum flight will be offered once a week starting November 9, 2024. The Toronto-Tulum flight will be offered three times a week, also starting November 9, 2024. Both flights will run until April 27, 2025.
