Improved efficiency is attributed to the "speed of attention and new technology"

It takes less than 40 minutes for international travelers to get through Mexican immigration at the Tulum airport. On Sunday, Governor Mara Lezama reported from the airport during the arrival of three international flights.

During a work tour, she said that tourists get through immigration (INM) in less than 40 minutes. The faster timing is due to the “speed of attention and new technology”, she said adding that Instituto Nacional de Migración (INM) officers processed a planeload of travelers in less than 40 minutes.

During her visit to the Tulum International Airport, Lezama confirmed the efficiency with which tourists arriving to visit the center and south of the state are served. Lezama was present when, within minutes of each other, three international flights arrived and she witnessed the speed with which the passengers were attended to by the Immigration Department, she said in a statement.

The Tulum International Airport currently receives flights from Houston, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Miami, in the United States, and from Montreal, Canada.
