The perfect playground for everything from whale-watching to kayaking

By: Eric Rosen

Hawaii is an ideal setting for trips ranging from a beach getaway to an active adventure. The beautiful blue Pacific waters are the perfect playground for everything from whale-watching to kayaking. Though phenomenal packages and other offerings at hotels throughout Hawaii should be enough to entice travellers this winter, folks looking to keep busy will find no shortage of experiences to enjoy both in the water and on land.

KapohoKine Adventures in Oahu is welcoming adventurers to experience its new guided kayak tour of Hilo Bay. Launched from the company’s private pier at Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo – A DoubleTree by Hilton, the tour will explore hidden coves and beaches as kayakers learn about Hilo’s rich maritime history. Weather permitting, guides will escort kayakers to a secret beach for swimming.

KapohoKine’s two-hour group tours include snacks and beverages for $59 per person, plus tax. Three-hour private tours for couples include a picnic-style lunch and are $200, plus tax, and $25 per extra person, plus tax. For more information, visit kapohokine.com, or call (808) 964-1000.
