Rose Garden Tea Room at Huntington Library Reopening (Pasadena)

The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens will reopen the historic Rose Garden Tea Room to the public on May 24, 2023. Closed in March 2020 due to COVID-19, the Tea Room completes a major renovation and restoration including a new outdoor dining area. The Rose Garden Tea Room will continue its elegant tea service with a selection of teas, seasonal house-made scones, and a variety of savory and sweet offerings, including smoked salmon with dill cream cheese and caviar, banoffee tart with dulce de leche, banana jam, and caramel crunch, and buckwheat financier with lemon pistachio glaze. This spring, The Broad will present the first-ever museum exhibition in Los Angeles of Keith Haring’s expansive body of work featuring over 120 artworks and archival materials. Known for his use of vibrant color, energetic linework and iconic characters, Haring’s work continues to dissolve barriers between art and life while being rooted in the creative spirit and mission of his subway drawings and renowned public murals: art is for everybody. Divided into ten galleries, the expansive exhibition will explore both Haring’s artistic practice and life, with much source material coming from his personal journals.
