WestJet has added extra flights from Mexico and the Caribbean up to and including February 14, 2021

February 4 - To repatriate its customers in the wake of sun cancellations, WestJet has added extra flights from Mexico and the Caribbean up to and including February 14, 2021.

The news comes less than a week after Prime Minister Trudeau announced that all four of Canada’s major airlines – Air Canada, WestJet, Sunwing and Transat – have agreed to cancel all sun destination flights through April 30, 2021 as part of ongoing efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 and all its new variants.

WestJet will continue to operate scheduled flights northbound from destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean up to and including February 14 to return guests to Canada. After this date, the airline will cease all operations through to April 30, 2021.

Any remaining seats on WestJet’s additional flights are now available for booking on westjet.com. Travellers are encouraged to make reservations online before contacting the contact centre for assistance.
