Porter Airlines has confirmed plans to fly year round between Ottawa and Charlottetown following the route’s inaugural flights yesterday, May 17.

The direct service begins with 11 weekly flights before increasing to 14 weekly roundtrips during the summer peak season. As of October 29, 2023, the route will increase to daily through the winter.

With the service, Porter now flies to all Atlantic provinces for the first time. It is also the only airline to offer year-round, daily nonstop service between Charlottetown Airport (YYG) and Ottawa International Airport (YOW).

The nonstop flights between Ottawa and Charlottetown are served by 78-seat De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft featuring a selection of premium snacks and free beer and wine served in glassware.
