Get ready for an exhilarating night with two zesty Cuban bands that will make you feel like you’re partying in Havana!

With her powerful, velvety voice, Yaima Saez is counted among a long line of female vocalists in the styles of bolero, filín, canción, son, and the most authentic popular Cuban music. Yaima’s music provides a fresh and unique contemporary perspective, descending all musical genres, while paying homage to her indigenous Cuban roots.

Recently nominated for “Best Latin Jazz Album” at the 2018 GRAMMY Awards, celebrated Canadian soprano saxophonist, Jane Bunnett hits the stage with Maqueque (meaning: the spirit of a young girl, in ancient Afro-Cuban dialect), six talented female musicians and singers from Cuba.

A protégé of the legendary jazz master Dizzy Gillespie, ARTURO SANDOVAL was born in Artemisa, a small town in the outskirts of Havana, Cuba, on November 6, 1949. Sandoval has been awarded 10 Grammy Awards, and nominated 19 times.

Arturo Sandoval’s struggles while in Cuba and since his defection have given him more energy and strength, urging him to accomplish and surpass his childhood dreams. Filled with a virtuoso capability, he desires nothing more than to share his gift with others who feel the same intense adoration for music as he does.
