Canadian tourism in Las Vegas, NV is the highest it’s been since pre-pandemic levels in 2019

Canadians have returned to Las Vegas in numbers not seen since 2019.

According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), which recently released its 2023 Q4 Tourism Report, Canadian tourism in Las Vegas, NV is the highest it’s been since pre-pandemic levels in 2019. In 2023, there were more than 1.4 million Canadians who travelled to Las Vegas, representing a 60% increase from 2022.

Canadians make up nearly 30% of the share of international visitors to the destination, with Mexico in second at 23%. Over 52% of international visitors in Las Vegas are North American.

Once in destination, Canadians can enjoy an array of new offerings, including Fontainebleau Las Vegas, completed in December 2023 and featuring 3,644 luxury hotel rooms and suites, 550,000 square feet of customizable meeting and convention space, 150,000 square feet of gaming space, world-class restaurants and shops, pools, nightlife and a spa.

Canada’s own Shania Twain will also be returning to the Las Vegas Strip with her ‘Come on Over’ residency at Planet Hollywood beginning in May. Tickets are on sale now. Plus, Ole Red Las Vegas in the Granz Bazaar Shops has officially opened as a hotspot for live music, featuring three interior bars, a rooftop bar, two stages, an LED video wall, retail area and a VIP experience with event space for groups.
