Characteristics of the Varadero Golf Course

18 holes; Par 72; 5 Holes Par 5 and 5 Holes Par 3, the rest, 8 Holes, are all Par 4. 6,269 meters from the First Tee or exit, to the last Green on the 18th Hole. Three golf architecture styles are combined:

• Classic design: wide streets surrounded by trees, large greens and hardly protected
• Challenge or "Target Golf" design: modern style with narrow streets and very protected greens, surrounded by sand traps and lakes. The Varadero Golf Course has several saltwater lakes that directly communicate with the sea, a feature that makes it almost unique in the World
• Link Design: holes located right next to the sea, which follow the silhouette of the coast line, including the Sea itself as an additional obstacle in the game

The route of the Course, due to its design, can be divided into two perfectly differentiated areas: the first round, from holes 1 to 9, can be considered slightly easier to play and the second round from holes 10 to 18, where the holes stand out for their complexity, specially holes 11,15,16,17 and 18. This design allows you to combine all the technical elements that every golfer desires with the beauty, peace, silence and quality of the game.

Services and rates at the Varadero Golf Course

The use of a Golf Cart is mandatory and must be booked and paid at the Pro-Shop. A dress code is in effect.

Prizes

Each individual winner will receive a trophy plus a complimentary one week stay for two people for a future visit to Be Live's resort. The winners of the team competition will receive a trophy and a local souvenir.

Individual: 

Low Net Champion - Female & Male. Best Gross Champion of the tournament.

Team: 

Low Net Team.

Prizes in a Draw: 

All other participants, (except winners), will receive one (1) ticket for a draw and its winner will receive a complimentary one week stay voucher for one person for a future visit to Be Live's resort.

Technical Information

The tournament will take place during three days and will consist of three rounds of 18 holes, a practice round and two rounds of competition. Players can apply to play in pairs which cannot be broken during the tournament. Foursomes will be arranged by the Golf Tournament Organizing Committee.

Modality Stable ford -100 % handicap for the Individual Contest.

Format: 

Scramble for Team Contest. Players will be grouped in two categories as follows:

• Male certified handicap (0 – 24)
• Female certified handicap (0- 28)
