Get To Know Your BDM is back with Playa Hotels & Resorts Freddie Marsh. How well did you know him outside of his Playa knowledge?

When and where did you start your career in the travel industry?

I graduated from the travel program at MacEwan University in Edmonton in 1993. My first job in the travel industry was at Fun Sun Tours as a Reservations Agent.

What is your favourite place to travel to?

My “happy place” is Palm Springs, California. I love going there every chance I get and spending afternoons floating in the pool.

What is next on your travel bucket list?

Our goal is to visit somewhere new each year. I’ve always wanted to go to Ireland, so this summer we are booked on a British Isles cruise.

Who is your favourite music artist?

What is your favourite movie?

One of my all-time favourites is “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” and another is “Miss Congeniality”. Coincidentally both star Michael Cain.
